Restaurateur Mitch Tonks and England Internation Rugby Star Matt Dawson the stars of the TV show 'Mitch and Matt's Big Fish' made the journey up to the Isle of Lewis in August to film an episode of the show. Mitch and Matt pitched their sea angling skills against a handfull of the club's Junior anglers onboard the SYSAC 2.
The weather on the day was pretty wet, but they got a few fish, including plenty Mackerel, Lythe (Pollack), and Red Gurnard. It was hoped to film the fish that was caught on a barbeque at a beach such as Dalbeag, but a downfall of Hebridean rain on the day put an end to that, so Mitch and Match prepared and cooked the fish in the club house back in Stornoway.
The show aired on UK Food, and for more information visit the UKTV Food Web Site. http://uktv.co.uk/food/homepage/sid/6943
